PLOT

The history happens when Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet called Pandora. In Pandora live the Na'vis, a race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth are in conflict with each other and with the local culture.

When his brother is killed, Jake Sully takes the place of his brother on a mission in Pandora. He discovers the intentions of the natives reject "Na'vi" to find the mines of precious material scattered throughout the forest. A change of spine surgery to fix the legs, Jake must infiltrate the town Na'vi with the body of an avatar. Jake begins a relationship with the hometown and falls in love with Neytiri. The Corlonel begins with cruel extermination tactics, forcing Jake to fight in a battle for the destination of Pandora.

ACTORS AND THEIR PERFORMANCE

Humans

- Sam Worthington as Corporal Jake Sully. Sully, the film's protagonist, is a disabled former Marine who becomes part of the Avatar Program. His military background helps the Na'vi warriors relate to him.
- Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch. Quaritch is the head of the mining operation's security detail.
- Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine. Augustine is an exobiologist and head of the Avatar Program. She mentors Sully and is an advocate of peaceful relations with the Na'vi, having set up a school to teach them English.
- Michelle Rodriguez as Trudy Chacón. Chacón is a combat pilot assigned to support the Avatar Program who is sympathetic to the Na'vi.
- Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge. Selfridge is the corporate administrator for the RDA mining operation and one of the film's primary antagonists.
- Joel David Moore as Norm Spellman. Spellman is an anthropologist who studies plant and nature life as part of the Avatar Program. He arrives on Pandora at the same time as Sully and operates an avatar.

Na'vis

- Zoe Saldana as Neytiri. Neytiri is the film's female Na'vi protagonist, princess of the Omaticaya, who is attracted to Jake because of his bravery.
- C. C. H. Pounder as Mo'at. Mo'at is the Omaticaya's spiritual leader, Neytiri's mother, and consort to clan leader Eytucan.
- Laz Alonso as Tsu'tey. Tsu'tey is heir to the chieftainship of the tribe, and at the beginning of the film's story, he is betrothed to Neytiri.
- Wes Studi as Eytucan. Eytucan is the Omaticaya's clan leader, Neytiri's father and Mo'at's mate.


FX

Cameron spent most of his time and a significant amount of money in improving the technology of the systems used for Avatar, but not used primarily for 3D computer-generated, new techniques were also created for action by parties in vivo.

Working with long time collaborator Vincent Pace developed a shooting platform that is more advanced than anything that has been used before. The installation consists of a series of chambers, each using a pair of stereoscopic lenses built to mimic the human eye - placed close together and able to move a bit and in order to focus on objects that are near or far. Two images at the same time allowing the capture of the filmmaker, will join perfectly and give the illusion of depth.


OPINION AND RECOMMENDATION

I think than it's a very good movie and a lot better in 3D. The movie have an incredible special effects never seen before on another movie. I think is an original movie and it can like to all the people.
